University Campus at Stratford Island
The London Borough of Newham is undertaking a £1.4 billion Stratford Island Regeneration project part of which will be a new university campus. Birkbeck College, University of London and the University of East London, through an innovative partnership, are working together to acquire the land, design and construct the building and then extend opportunities for more students in East London to study an exciting range of higher education programmes.
Cumberland Ellis LLP submitted a tender for the provision of legal services to the partnership and were successful in being appointed as the parties’ legal advisors in connection with the structuring and joint management arrangements to be entered into between them. Cumberland Ellis acts for a number of educational institutions and has experience and expertise in this sector.
