Cumberland Ellis presentation at the 2010 CHASE Conference
Partner Michael Sinha and solicitor Rebecca Patrickson spoke at the recent CHASE exhibition on the need for charities and the not-for-profit sector to comply with money laundering regulations.
The CHASE exhibition, which took place on the 23rd - 24th February, is the pre-eminent event for organisations involved in the not for profit sector showcasing a range of sector services and providing a free seminar programme for delegates.
Michael Sinha and Rebecca Patrickson, who are members of the firm's charity team, gave a presentation to delegates on how anti-money laundering legislation is applicable to charities, and examined the EU directives and the 2007 regulations, penalties, available defences and best practice an organisation should adopt.
