Cumberland Ellis Presentation at The FSI Workshop Series

27 April 2009

Partners Michael Sinha, Martin Ackland and solicitor Rebecca Patrickson spoke at the recent FSI Workshop hosted by Legal & General on key legal issues relating to fundraising, lotteries and money laundering regulations with which charities and the not-for-profit sector must comply.

The FSI (Foundation for Social Improvement) workshop brought a range of experts together from across the third sector to provide practical advice to small to medium charities in areas where charities so often lack specialist expertise, such as business planning and marketing, campaigning, impact reporting, law and governance and finance. The workshop was well attended with up to 80 delegates from a wide variety of charities and not-for-profit organisations. All reported that the session had raised their awareness of the legal implications of their work and 80% said they would implement new legal guidelines for their organisations as a result of attending Cumberland Ellis' presentation.

Cumberland Ellis has a well established charity team advising in the region of 200 charities and not-for-profit organisations on a broad range of legal issues. If you would like us to repeat our presentation to your charity, or for further information on the type of work we undertake for charities and how we can assist your organisation, please visit our charities page on our website, or contact michaelsinha@cumberlandellis.com
